Live-Action Minecraft Movie to Start Filming in August

Even though the Legend of Zelda series is very popular, it might not get its big movie break anytime soon. However, the live-action version of Minecraft is set to be the next big thing in the computer film renaissance.

According to a story from Production List, filming will start on August 7 in New Zealand, which will make for a very beautiful background.

The official date for the movie's release is April 4, 2025, so they have a lot of time on their hands.

Vu Bui, Roy Lee, Mary Parent, Lydia Winter, Jon Spaihts, and Jon Berg are among the people who are producing the new project. Allison Schroeder is writing the new script.

She worked on the historical thriller Hidden Figures (2016) and the hugely successful sequel Frozen II (2019).

She also helped write the new spy action movie Heart of Stone, starring Gal Gadot, which is coming out in August.

So far, Jason Momoa (Fast X) and Matt Berry (Great Expectations) are in Minecraft, and Pedro Pascal is said to play Steve. No one else in the group has been named yet.
